Dungen at Amoeba

Dungen (pronounced “Doon-yen”) – Live at Amoeba Records in L.A. in March, uploaded to YouTube a few days ago.

A cracking performance, albeit short.  Two songs from Haxan (an album I reviewed for Spectrum Culture), which was a soundtrack to the 1926 animated film The Adventures of Prince Achmed, and closing with the magnificent “En Gang Om Aret” (which loosely translates to “once a year”) starting at 9:27, originally on 2015’s Allas Sak.

Nobody does psych/folk/prog rock better, in my opinion. Floppy muppet hair and all.
